I've raised £500 to To gift The Acorn Ward at Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone East London with some new Play equipment.

As some of you are aware in April next year I will be braving the London marathon and raising funds for Children with Cancer a cause so very close to my heart ..In a Few months I will be asking for help again, but in order to get marathon fit I will be doing a few runs to help with my training,
I have a ten miler lined up on the 3rd Sept
As I write this Grace my 5 year old daughter with Down syndrome and Cancer is in Whipps Cross Hospital, this place gets such bad press but I will not have a bad word said against its children's ward.
What hospital isn't a little delapidated and in need of a good lick of paint, but what you cannot buy is the genuine love and care that these nurses give our children,
I want to give something back to to Whipps cross, something for the children, the ward has a few books and it has a few out of date toys but thats it for the little ones..
If like me you have an unexpected stay and forget to bring items such as toys or an iPad..you really are limited
There are times a child or your child needs a distraction when bloods are being taken, or even in isolation which we have been a few times...I truly believe some new toys / iPad would be gratefully received
I ask, and only ask that if all my friends were willing to donate one pound each I should be able to gift Acorn Ward with some new items
I am so aware that money is tight for us all, but I ask you with such gratitude , please consider my plea....
I'm not fit at all, I've missed out on training for this ten miler, it's in two weeks time and things have been tough due to family commitments but even if I have to walk it, I'm gonna do it, I won't quit and I will do it for the fact I have to give something back,
These races are for my Grace and her battle everyday and for all the kids battling any disease, and for any child right now having to be away from their families.
You have no idea how passionate I feel about raising money for this children's ward.
