Ada (12) and Frank (10) really need your help 🙏They are doing their best to raise money to help their Uncle, Rich, who is fighting a Grade 4 Glioblastoma (GBM). It is the most aggressive type of brain cancer 💔

Every single penny they raise will contribute towards vital funds needed for life-saving and life prolonging treatments.

Having conversations with your children about brain cancer is unimaginably difficult - especially when it involves an Uncle they love so deeply. Yet their response offers a powerful lesson for us all: choose positivity, and always look for ways to help.

From Ada:

My Uncle is really unwell, and he needs a special treatment to give him more time with us. It’s expensive, and I really want to help.

I would really like to help raise money because I want my Uncle to be there for as many memories as possible. If you can sponsor me, even just a little bit, it would mean a lot to our family.

The treatment we are working towards accessing is a personalised vaccine, created specifically for Rich from the tumour tissue removed during his surgery. These vaccines aim to trigger an immune response that trains the body to destroy cancer cells as they appear. This is the most promising treatment available and is as close to a cure as exists for GBM.

To raise much needed funds, Ada and Frank will be taking part in:

- 5k Bournemouth Bay Run (22nd March)

- Race for Life (30th May)

- Swimathon (March)

- Charity Football Match (Date TBC)
