Story
Many of you will know about the proposed development on Green Belt land at Patshull Road.
Thanks to a huge community effort, Shropshire Council refused the application — recognising the harm it would cause to the countryside and the edge of our town.
However, the developer has now confirmed they are appealing the decision, and this will be heard through a full public inquiry.
💬 Why this matters:
This next stage is important.
A public inquiry means the case will be looked at in detail, with expert evidence on both sides. It’s our chance to make sure that the voice of Albrighton is properly heard.
🙌 What we’ve done so far:
As a community, we’ve already:
- Come together to object
- Raised funds for key reports and legal advice
- Supported the case that led to refusal
That effort made a real difference.
💡 Why we’re asking for help again:
Now the appeal is coming, we need to be ready for the next stage.
This will include funding things like:
- Specialist advice
- Help preparing evidence
- Support during the inquiry
We will only spend money where it’s genuinely needed — and always carefully.
❤️ Every little helps
If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, it really does help.
This is about:
- Protecting the character of our town
- Standing up for our Green Belt
- Making sure Albrighton is properly represented
🤝 Thank you
This has always been a community effort — and it still is.
- If you can support, thank you.
- If you can’t, sharing this page also helps.
Together, we can make sure Albrighton’s voice is heard.
