Story

In November last year, I attended a memorial service for Adam Ellison. During the service it was clear to see the impact his death has had on his family, the grief and devastation his murder has caused, but also the hope that the people responsible will be found. I decided to contact his family and ask if they would allow me to run the London Marathon for the Adam Foundation, which they had set up in his name. I met with his family and couldn’t believe the bravery they showed and their commitment, despite their loss, to help local people make Prescot and surrounding communities a safer, better place.

Message from the family.

Adam was born on February 7th 1988, the day our family felt complete. He was a caring, kind & handsome young man, with a great sense of humour & an amazing laugh - one of life’s true gentleman.

On the 4th November 2017 we lost our entire world. Adam’s life was taken to Knife Crime in Prescot, the place he called home. It has not only saddened & shocked our family but also our community, who since Adams passing have been such an amazing support to us.

We wanted to make a difference & help give back to our community so that we & Adam can be proud of we’re we live. We set up a Foundation in his name, ADAM- Achieving Dreams and Memories. Everything we do & achieve will be in memory of him, everything we receive goes back Into the community. Adam loved to help others & raised money for many charities, so we know he will guiding us in every decision we make & be so happy that we are able to give back to the people in our community & know how proud he would be that we are able to achieve that.

We also want to help & keep supporting the No More knives campaign, to keep spreading awareness of the affects of knife crime.
We are truly grateful for everyone’s support & we know Adam will be truly thankful to see everyone continuing to show their support & kindness.

Let’s keep standing together.

Lots of Love The Ellison Family & of course Adam xXx
