Posted to Facebook on Tuesday 25th October, was a video showing a young person setting fire to the possessions of a homeless man who was sleeping in Preston City Centre.

This was a deplorable act of violence against the most emotionally physically vulnerable in our society. Whilst the issue of homelessness wont be solved overnight, we can perhaps contribute something - anything - right now, this minute, to help this one person.

Please give whatever you can. The creator of this page has friends within Preston Police and can ensure the funds go to their intended destination once this man is identified. In the extremely unlikely event this cannot happen, the funds will be donated to a Preston homeless charity or charities.

Hopefully this can raise money for at least the replacement of his possessions with good quality items, and potentially even enough for something to start his life again in the form of a small desposit or bond.
