Story

So I’m running the 2019 London Marathon.......

What started as an impulsive application in April 2018, suddenly got serious in October when I got accepted through the ballot 😅

Training for this has been one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever undertaken. As I sit writing this I’m also planning my next 16 mile training run, something I would have never thought I’d ever do a year ago.

Just as tough as the training was picking a charity to run for, as there are so many worthy and deserving causes. I have decided to run for two charities which are closest to my heart, Dementia UK and Foundation for Liver Research.

Dementia is a horrible and cruel disease, and has no doubt effected many of you in some way. I lost my Grandad to it over 10 years ago and my Nan currently suffers with it. I‘d love to help raise as much money as possible for Dementia UK for all the great work they do to help people and their families suffering with the disease.

Tragically in November last year my cousin Mark died at the young age of 48 from liver disease. That is why I have chosen Foundation for Liver Research, to help them continue their amazing work to help treat and cure this devastating disease and prevent any other people being taken too early.

Thank you in advance for your donation, it‘ll keep me going as I suffer on the streets of London on 28th April!!
