Story

In August, I will be cycling a lap of Lough Neagh as part of a 100 mile cycle to raise money for the Indian charity, Asha. Asha is an Indian charity that tackles all the issues that keep slum dwellers trapped in poverty. Over 15 years of hard work and dedication by everyone involved in Asha, it is now transforming the lives of more than 600,000 slum dwellers in over 71 slum colonies of Delhi. However the battle to beat the vast poverty in India is still not over and needs your help!
The money that I raise will be combined with the rest of the Ballymena Academy Asha team. The team consists of fourteen other keen students along side three teachers. We will be heading out to Delhi in October this year to help those living in slums. With the help of our team, we will be able to offer these people opportunities in education, healthcare and financial services to make positive changes to their lives. The team and I are very excited for our trip and, most importantly, we are eager to make a difference! Any donations would be so helpful and all proceeds will go directly to the work of ASHA and our trip. Thank you! Adam
