Weʼve raised £815 to Steve ' Badger ' Green for local children to play cricket at E&MWCC

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

This is in memory of our much loved club member, Captain, coach, humorist, taxi driver par excellence and the best of friends, Steve " Badger " Green who has sadly been " given out " to soon.
In his honour we at E&MWCC intend to create a bursary for local children that would not otherwise be able to experience what inspired Steve through out his all too short life. Each year we will ask the headteachers of the local schools to recommend several children who they believe will benefit and appreciate the opportunity to play cricket at our club.
So far there have been three generations of Green's that have profoundly contributed to our club and this bursary should ensure that Steve legacy will extend far beyond his expectation.

Please help us make this a reality.

Thank you to all those of you who donated to this worthy cause and the money will be spent as befitting Badger's love of cricket. Please also see that many of his former team mates and wider friends are intending to do a sponsored walk from Sparsholt, via St.Cross, the old Winchester ground and finally to Easton on Sunday16th July. If any feel inclined to take part please contact me at E&MWCC for details or just turn up to the ground for 3.30pm to celebrated our larger than life friend. Cheers.
