I've raised £2995 to Help me get to the 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia, U.S.A!

It is an honour to be chosen to represent UK Scouts at the 24th World Scout Jamboree as part of the International Service Team! The Jamboree is a meeting of over 40,000 fellow Scouts from across the world, and next year it will be held at the Mount Betchel Reserve, West Virginia, U.S.A in the summer.
As going to the Jamboree as a young person, unit leader or IST is such an amazing experience, I decided to start documenting the progress in Surrey, from initial selection weekends back in September 2017 to the unit camps and beyond. This has now transformed into a documentary series entitled the 'Jamboree Journey'. It follows the three Surrey Units (Surrey Gryffins, Surrey Sequoia and Surrey Stingrays) in the lead up to, and at the Jamboree!
At the Jamboree I have applied to work with the UK Contingent Communications Team, where I wish to continue producing the Jamboree Journey, sharing the life changing experience everybody at the event is immersed in. I aim to talk with Scouts from the furthest countries, learn about culture and share in Scouting memories. The Jamboree builds lifelong connections, and is a chance to discover and grow as a person.
Fundraising is a massive part of getting to the Jamboree, in which the total cost to attend is £2,995.00, which is rather a lot to fundraise as a volunteer in Scouting. But that won’t stop me from getting there with your help! I'm also organizing a number of local fundraising opportunities and will be searching for corporate sponsorship to help raise the funds to go too.
I’m so grateful for any donation you wish to make, and I’ll keep you up to date with the latest episodes of the Jamboree Journey documentary too. If you simply have a few pounds to help me along the way please consider donating to my cause, and thank you!
