Story

This is such a hard thing to write and to be honest I don’t really know where to begin…

Let’s start by talking about the man himself David Pickwell! Some people just have character and with Dave he had it in abundance. You always knew you were gonna have a laugh whenever he was about and was always willing to go to whatever lengths to make you smile, even if it would raise a few eyebrows! There are soo many great stories and memories that still make me chuckle now!

Unfortunately a year ago in July David decided to take his own life and none of us will ever know the reasons why, as mental health is still something we don’t talk about enough, or fully understand. I know this has left a massive hole on our watch at work, colleagues miss him massively and of course his friends and family who have to try and carry on without him.

This leads me to his two sons Joshua and Jake, who are 11 and 10 years old. They share the same enjoyment and passions, whether it be building Lego, playing cricket, or watching football, especially their beloved Lincoln City.

If we can spare some money in these hard times to put a smile on their faces, then how nice would that be. The boys with the help from their mum Sandy can spend the money on treats, such as new Lego, days out, holidays away, or even the odd football shirt.

Dave, we all miss you, but will forever keep your memory alive! X

Peace … Love … Respect 💙 x
