Story

So I’ve been doing some running/walking/shuttles whatever way you put it to stay active during lockdown and basically to fill the void due to lack of cricket. Which is really the only exercise I do apart from work and the Morrison’s big shop.

I’ve decided that I may as well do one of these 5k run/walks to raise funds towards the cricket club I play for. Whiston Forge Cricket Club. Obviously as we’re not playing we’re not making any money but still have outgoings so need to dig deep to keep the club ticking over. Gives me more incentive to carry on doing as I’m doing for at least a few more weeks but this time raising a bit of money for the cricket club too.

My Morning 5k run/walk on either Friday 5th or Saturday 6th June (d-day) will be the one I class as my sponsored run/walk. It will be at my own pace as I’ve been doing all of what I’ve done so far. I’m not a racer and there’s still plenty of walking involved (lamppost running) which im not embarrassed about im just being up front. I will upload the strava map and time onto Facebook just as I have previously done once complete.

Help me help keep my Cricket club ticking over 💪🏻🏏🏃🏻
