For those who aren’t aware 6 months ago Adam Squires a serving GMP police officer life's changed forever when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of multiple sclerosis.

It was believed that Adam had a back injury however over time Adam has deteriorated from a fit and healthy individual with the world at his feet to now find himself in a position where even the most basic of tasks can be a struggle for him. Adam has two young children and a wife to support at this difficult time and finds himself financially challenged which he resulted in him continuing to work throughout his illness which in turn impacts upon his health. In addition and owing to government reforms and cutbacks Adam opted out of the pension and insurance scheme and is now left in financial difficulty.
This type of illness could happen to anyone of us at any time and with this in mind a number of events have already been completed which have resulted in great support for Adam and his family. On the 13th into the 14th of July 2017 a number of Adam's colleagues will attempt to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the tallest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales all within a 24 hour time period. The challenge is a difficult one and the participants have limited experience but it is hoped that this event will again provide great support for Adam and continue to assist him at this difficult time.
