As most of you will know, last year came with devastating news that a good family member, friend and colleague was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Cancer.
Mal is only 51 and has always been on top with his health and fitness; in the gym training the lads and lasses as a boxing coach, being busy at work, and spending time with his family. Which goes to show, cancer doesn't pick an age, or lifestyle or background.

He is a huge character, and has such an inspiring, strong personality, pushing people to their limits to achieve their goals and encouraging them to fight... and so without sounding cliché, now this is Mal's fight, and we all want to show how much we are supporting him on this one, as he as always done for each of us.
As big of a shock as it has been, Mal is a fighter and refuses to be beaten by this disease.
He is supported by his wife Karen, who would love to raise the money to surprise Mal with a holiday to Greece before his condition worsens as treatments are harsh.
Time is precious and so we aim to hit our target before the New Year.
We are holding an event on Friday 2nd December, 7:00pm-11:00pm, at NE6 Venue, Scrogg Road Walker, to try and raise as much money towards our target.
Please remember that the event is to be kept secret from Mal so anyone catching up with him from now 'til then, try to keep the cat in the bag!
Tickets for the event are for sale where a raffle is being held and friends and family are all invited to come and show their support for Mal. We are still taking any donations from local business to input as raffle prizes, if you can contact Katy Louise via Facebook messenger to donate or for tickets.
