Story

I am 26 and work at Kidsley Grange, a home specialised in Dementia.

To raise funds for our little home and give our residents new experiences, I am going to spend the day 'living with dementia'.

I will spend the day experiencing what it's like to live with the effects of Dementia.

This will include:
1)Blacked out glasses to experience sight impairment.

2)Hard pasta in my shoes to resemble the loss of sensation which people can suffer with.

3)Eat a pureed meal, which many later staged people have to due to swollowing difficulties.

4) Drink thickened fluids, again for swollowing difficulties.

5)Spend time in an incontinence pad filled with water, to experience the discomfort.

6)Be assisted with a meal to experience the loss of independence

Other things will be added to the list as we come up with more ways to mimic this awful disease..

Any sponser, no matter how small.. Will be make a huge difference.
