I've raised £1500 to help fund the Addiction Recovery Centre, Kirkintilloch, which is a voluntary Support for people facing alcohol, drugs and gambling problems.

Our Centre is a large voluntary support centre for people who are facing Alcohol, Drugs and gambling problems. We also offer support to all family members including children and teenagers who are affected by these same problems.
Our Recovery programme supports people to live totally free from alcohol, drugs or gambling and helps arrest the illness progressing into the next generation. We become positive and useful members of our families and our community. The centre received an award in June 2011 which is the equivalent to an M.B.E and we also won charity champion of the year 2012. All staff members that are involved in this charity are volunteers and do not take pay for all their hard work and dedication, as this is a non profit charity and only aims to help the community. We strive to continue this outstanding support but unfortunately with government funding lacking we may have to consider closing this service down. This would affect many families and individuals within the local community.
To promote fundraising and the services that the Addiction recovery centre offers, one of our members is walking the West Highland Way on the 26th of March and any donations to help this amazing support network stay open are much appreciated.
Thankyou
