    Story

About Gurkha Disabled veteran Hari Budha Magar

EXPEDITION HIMALAYAN CONQUEROR - 'Conqueroring Dreams'.

Hari is the epitome of: "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. " Ralph Waldo Emerson. He has always wanted to make a difference.

Hari grew up within sight of Mount Everest and has always wanted to climb it. As a child, he didn't have the money. As a member of the elite British Royal Gurkha Rifles Gurkha Rifles, he was so busy on training and operations he didn’t have the time. He lost both of his legs in combat in an IED incident in Afghanistan, but this will not stop him and he feels even more determined to succeed. He says that the time is right and we believe him. That's Hari, a true Gurkha and an inspiration to all who meet him.

The path will not be easy. First, there is his The Government of Nepal is considering a requirement that people attempting to climb Mt. Everest first succeed climbing other peaks that exceed 6,000 meters (19,700 feet). They are also considering a ban on people with amputations. The Expedition Plan includes training on peaks that will qualify Hari and the rest of the team for Mount Everest in case the bans are implemented. Before his summit attempt, Hari and the team will have completed 18 months of intense training. Some of the money raised will support this training.

Second, there is his disability, but this will not deter him. Hari aims to be the first bilateral above knee amputee to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, demonstrating the courage, determination and resilience of the Nepali people. He also wants to be an inspiration to other disabled veteran and civilians worldwide, and he wants to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, Help for Heroes, Walking with Wounded and Combat Stress.

Help us to get this incredible and awe-inspiring human being to the summit by raising the funds to enable him to conquer his dream and benefit others through his personal example of courage in adversity.
