I've raised £500 to help raise funds for the Retired Lancashire Police Dogs Benevolent Fund and also a donation will be made Battersea Dogs & Cats home.

Lancashire's police dogs provide an invaluable service to our county. They dedicate their lives to protecting the public and their handlers, sometimes getting injured in the process. Many dogs will need veterinary treatment at some point in their lives, however, police dogs find themselves in more dangerous situations than most dogs and they work with their handlers to protect the people of Lancashire on a daily basis.
On occasions a police dog may have to retire at a young age due to illness or through being injured. As any dog owner knows veterinary treatment and medication can be very expensive and often heart wrenching decisions have to be made by handlers who may well have more than one police dog.
The Retired Police Dogs Benevolent fund was set up to help handlers and adopters, where necessary, in order that the dog can stay with the family it knows and trusts.
Lancashire's fabulous police dogs work tirelessly searching for drugs, missing people and dangerous weapons. They help to track offenders, detect bombs and locate stolen property...this list is by no means endless!
If you would like to join me in saying a huge thank you to these amazing dogs then please donate to this Just Giving cause. Any donation no matter how big or small would be hugely appreciated! I have been realistic with my target of £500 and if we could reach that it would be fantastic! If we could smash that amount through the roof that would be absolutely FABULOUS!
I will be joining 9 other colleagues in this challenge and in addition to raising money for the Retired Lancashire Police Dogs Benevolent Fund, EACH of us will be donating £100 of our monies raised to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Thereby, helping two fantastic causes!
HUGE THANKS IN ADVANCE
Adele xx
