I've raised £10000 to help Dr Adnan Al-Wahaidi rebuild his home and life

I first met Dr Adnan Al-Wahaidi in the late 1990s when he was awarded a scholarship to pursue an MSc in Mother and Child Health at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. I got to know Adnan well during his year in the UK. I have kept in touch with him since and have closely followed his humanitarian work in Gaza.
Adnan is a medical doctor who has dedicated his life and career to helping some of Gaza's most vulnerable children. He had many opportunities to pursue a more comfortable life elsewhere but instead chose to work for his people under the extreme circumstances of siege and occupation. Adnan runs Ard El Insan, the only organisation in Gaza which focuses on child malnutrition and whose clinics provide free treatment to around 50,000 children a year.
Adnan is one of kindest, peaceful and most thoughtful men you could ever wish to meet. Despite working tirelessly for the children of Gaza, he is always the first to offer support when someone is in need and I have never known him refuse a request for help. Adnan now needs our help.
Living in Gaza is dangerous. During the recent Israeli bombings, Adnan's home, one apartment in a block of twenty, was bombed and totally destroyed. Adnan did not know he was living in a building with an individual the Israelis wished to target. He escaped with only the clothes on his back when the building was bombed. What was once a simple family home is now a pile of rubble and Adnan, his wife and two daughters have been left with absolutely nothing.
We are raising money to help Adnan put a roof back over his head and replace some of the possessions he and his family have lost. By supporting Adnan, you will also be helping the thousands of sick children his organisation treats. If Adnan's personal circumstances prevent him from focusing on his vital work these children, already amongst the most disadvantaged in Gaza, will suffer even more. Please donate and help this good man rebuild his life and continue his important work. Thank you very much for your support.
