Story
Earlier this summer saw the rather delayed start of my training programme for this year’s New York Marathon at the beginning of November. I’ve delayed writing this to ensure I can actually get through the training… It’s been quite a few years since I last ran this distance and have to admit to being somewhat daunted…
To give me much needed added motivation and inspiration, I am running the marathon to raise funds for BCB, a charity very close to my heart.
The team at BCB provide vital mental health awareness and support to hundreds of men across the Black Country, all on a voluntary basis. The team are true heroes and superstars and give tirelessly time after time without any fuss or fanfare.
I am not setting a target or a limit on what I am hoping to raise (ignore the number above!), so anything you feel you’re able to donate to help will be hugely appreciated. Every penny raised goes directly to BCB, my entry fee, flights, accommodation and everything else is self funded.
I know you all see hundreds of these posts all the time so appreciate you taking the time to read. Thanks….
