Phillipa Batten's daughter Eve Gascoigne has been diagnosed with a very rare form of brain tumour and she is currently undergoing a course of chemotherapy.
At the end of this chemotherapy, she will then need 6 weeks of radiotherapy.
They have been told that Proton Therapy in the USA is the way forward due to the precision of this treatment to the brain and the side effects are reduced significantly when comparing to traditional radiotherapy.
Unfortunately, Eve’s tumour and cancer is not on the list of the NHS for eligible funding.
Her family is trying to raise the funds themselves, so they can take Eve to America so she can receive this treatment.
