Story
A major problem for the people living in the Amazon jungle is poverty. This opens the door to drug and alcohol abuse, dysfunctional families and child trafficking. We have been visiting this part of the Amazon for over ten years and working with a local charity, Raio de Esperanza (Ray of Hope). In addition to distributing clothing, toys and food bags we seek to bring hope into the lives of those who live there. We work to help them see themselves differently, as intelligent, creative and gifted people. As a Christian group we share the things that have changed our own lives in the hope that they too will benefit.
The clothes that we take will wear out, the toys will break, the food will soon be eaten, but we work to leave something that will change them on the inside, something which will last.
