Story
I've been playing wheelchair rugby for over a year now. We set up the first club in Berkshire with support from Wheelchair Rugby GB. Wheelchair rugby needs specialist chairs, we started off with some second-hand loan chairs from GBWR, and have recently bought four new chairs of our own with SportAid funding, but we need more chairs for our players so I'm fundraising for that. Wheelchair rugby chairs are around £5,000 each, and I aim to raise enough in 2019 to buy a new one for the club.

5 years agoGreen Park Challenge 3k done! I did a PB time of 20'49", so I guess that qualifies as smashing it. Shane from Berkshire Banshees team did it in a wheelchair too in a staggering 14'05"!

5 years agoThe next planned fundraiser on 16th March is courtesy of two friends, Joelle and Susan who both do foot care and are donating their time on Saturday 16th March. If you would like a foot treatment on the day, and make a donation for that, let me know and I'll give you the details. The one after that is the the Green Park Challenge 3k run on 17th March, using my manual handcycle. I've got my 3k time down to 24 minutes in training from 37 when I first started. Two other players from the team will be doing it too in their wheelchairs.
