Story

My brother, Adrian, was a kind, energetic soul that brightened up the whole room. He loved music, school and exploring outdoors. He would never sit still, he was autistic which meant any day with him was bound to be full of surprises.

Sadly he passed away on 20/3/2019.

Over a year ago we found out that Adrian has Hodgkin Lymphoma, which is a type of cancer. Our hearts stopped as we knew that this is going to be the biggest challange of his life as well as ours as Adrian had autism which required us to give him constant support with daily tasks. Despite the painful treatments which also required special efforts because of Adrian’s inability to communicate with us effectively and his challanges due to his Advanced Autism, he put up an amazing fight for over a year. Unfortunately two weeks ago, Adrian developed a lung infection which caused foreign fluids gather around his lungs and heart and it meant he required surgery. After the operation Adrian had CT scan done while he was still under general anesthetic and the results revealed that the cancer had spread throughout almost his entire body. With no available course of treatment it was decided that he would not be woken up again as it would only add to his pain and suffering which meant we had to let him go.

Our parents Rafal and Dorota, spent every waking hour tending to Adrian, making sure he was comfortable and as happy as possible, they gave up their jobs to be able to be with him and to help him battle it out for so long. I’m incredibly grateful and proud of everything they’ve done for him and I want to help out as much as I possibly can to give Adrian the best sending off possible which he truly deserves.

That’s why I’m kindly asking for any sort of donation. The funeral costs are very large and we will struggle to afford the full amount, but this would help us massively and we would be forever thankful for your support.
