Weʼre raising £50,000 to Help fund a new charity for supported housing for adults
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
To provide a safe, friendly and appropriate environment where people are supported, enabled and empowered to prepare for independent living.
To have 24/7 support workers, provide clean, warm and friendly environment! The building to feel welcoming and a homely atmosphere. Support from all the staff to help with the various steps of becoming independent. Staff to work alongside residents on tenancy related issues, e.g. budgeting, cooking, rights and responsibilities as a tenant and specific issues related to that particular persons needs, for example, self-esteem, confidence building, education and employment.
The people who are living in our accommodation must be willing to live by the House Code and engage in the support offered. This includes one to one sessions, group work and house Meetings; they will be expected to meet with their support worker to ensure positive outcomes.
From day one staff will support people to find appropriate accommodation for moving on to living independently. Staff will be expected to work with the residents to identify their support needs and based on this develop a support plan and ensure they are meeting their individual goals, working towards moving them on into accommodation suitable for their needs.
To run projects for the residents to get involved in e.g. gardening.
The cost of the accommodation would be £10pw required from residents receiving benefits on top of the local housing allowance. Working residents are to pay full rent (rates included)
Flats will be fully furnished with the basic items e.g. bed, wardrobe etc... Residents are to gain their own personal items but help will be available to gain them.
Residents will be allowed to have visitors between set hours, I.D. will have to be provided by the visitor. No sleepovers.
Staff will make daily reports carried out on all residents about their behaviour and involvement. Verbal and written warnings will be issued to any residents who do not follow the rules which could then lead to dismissal.
