I've raised £80000 to fund a new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) for Alderley Edge Community Primary School

Sport helps children develop character and to learn important
social and brain skills such as problem-solving, resilience,
perseverance, confidence and teamwork. Those statistics
are all the more worrying given that one in five children now
leave primary school obese.
At the moment the sports facilities for the 208 children that attend the primary school are 2 grass pitches marked out for football, predominantly summer use. Some sports markings and posts for netball are on an already very busy, and uneven playground. This MUGA would give the children a pitch/surface to play on throughout the year.
The pitch size of 32 x 20 are ideal for a sports and play area for the School and a provision of a training facility for external organisations.
The field is an important part of the primary school and so we need to not detract from that. This MUGA can work alongside the field offering more sporting opportunities all year.
External community uses: Alderley Edge has no community MUGA so we are also hoping that this pitch can be used by the children and clubs of the village.
