On the 29th May this year my young son came to stay with me for the School holidays, during this time he divulged to me that he was being abused by his Mothers current Partner by form of Beating.

I contacted the police and a current investigation is ongoing

In the meantime I have placed my son in a new school and he is safe and protected with me his father, I have so far had my son 4 months with me and am due to return to court again later this month

Another £650.00 will be required for representation for us

My son has made it perfectly clear where he feels safe but this may not be his choice if the courts feel he can return to his mothers care

My circumstances mean that currently I am working a fulltime job as a Self Employed mechanic trying to make ends meet with little and no help at present from the state. I have tried to gain help towards the financial costs involved with obtaining solicitors etc etc but as with everything these days it costs a lot of money, Whilst paying for a roof over his head and trying to give him a fresh start in life

I gave my son my everything, I have my business on the line to enable his protection once more. none of which I regret but at the same time this is security for us both as without a business I cannot provide the future he needs.

Since being with me he has come out of his shell, is enjoying life, new school and friends and has developed himself into a kind loving good mannered and well behaved 8 year old

I have had fab support and feedback from his current school and I am grateful to those around me who have offered help in many shapes or forms be it helping with schoolwork, finding him clothes as we literally had nothing when he came to me to start with.

I would like to think Most fathers I hope would do the same for there kids

Being a Single father has opened up doors to me, made me realise how important doing everything I can for him is.

My goal is to provide him with the best future I can, I am a proud man and I try not to ask for help, but sometimes help is needed

With your support I plan to pay for representation, which will in turn hopefully help to secure his future, If the target is raised I will put £1000 or more into a college fund for him to enable him to get further with his schooling

My son is a bright 8 year old typical in to everything child who up until now has not been able to spread his wings, open up and do things that a 8 yr old should be doing

The final straw for me and when I realised I needed help was when this little boy tried to give me his pocket money to help towards Court fees just so he can stay with his dad where he feels safe.

No child should ever be in fear
