The Afghanistan Women's Development Team are a group of young players who were rescued from the country in 2021 and relocated to the UK after a harrowing journey that was well documented in the worlds press.

This amazing group of girls live and breathe football and having travelled to the UK with nothing but playing shirts and football boots, we want to create a new future for them in the game in their new home.

What will your funding help us with:

- Training costs - Raising money for training costs will give the players a great footing in the game and allow them to train every week with the correct equipment on the correct facilities.

- Travel costs - It is essential that the team have the opportunity to play games, this comes at a great expense to the team with no transport available to the squad. Funding will ensure that we can provide the team with transport costs to play games and enter tournaments.

- Equipment - With just the basics available, the team need to build a stock of training equipment and training wear to ensure they can concentrate on their development. Funding will ensure that the team always have the correct equipment and training gear available such as footballs, training kits, cones and goals.

- Accommodation - The team will grow by entering tournaments across the UK, the team have aspirations to play in the WUFA Women's World Cup due to be played in Surrey in the Summer of 2023, should the team gain entry into the competition, they will need to finance their accommodation and meals. Funding will help support the team for this, and other, competitions.
