I'm raising £2,500 for conference attendance in the Caribbean.

The conference is the annual one hosted by the Caribbean Studies Association, in a different country each year. This year, it is in St. Martin. My abstract was accepted, so I've been invited to deliver a workshop, entitled The Jackfruit Monologue. As I don't have university affiliation and my project, African School, is self -funded, I need to raise the amount mentioned above. Below is the email from the CSA inviting me to speak at the conference.

On behalf of the Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) 2025 Program Committee, we are pleased to confirm that your submission:

has been accepted for inclusion in the Annual Caribbean Studies Association Conference, scheduled for St. Martin, June 1 - 7, 2025.

Please use this letter to seek out funding and other support from your institutional affiliation.

Session assignments and final scheduling are still in progress. The preliminary program will contain details about the date and time of your presentation. This information will be made available in March 2025. Please check your email and the CSA’s website for notice of the preliminary program.

Please know that all presenters at the CSA2025 conference must be fully registered (which includes payment) for CSA2025 to be able to present and be included in the official conference program. There is a direct link to the conference registration page below. All presenters need to complete this by Friday 28th February, 2025.

The fee increases for late registration beginning on Saturday 1st March, 2025.

A link to the conference hotel is included in this email. Please reserve your room as soon as possible to take part in the early bird special which ends on Sunday 2nd March, 2025.
