Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page I really appreciate you!

Helping the world eliminate poverty one soap bar at a time !

Help us in the fight against poverty and sexual exploitation through soap making and women empowerment! We can’t do it alone, By donating, you become a part of what we are doing to bring hope and transformation to the people of the Maasai land in Kenaya.

Our mission is to empower the Maasai women living in some of the Kenya's most vulnerable communities by teaching them soap making, how to create natural beauty products from local plants, and business skills training in order to generate an income and elevate them from poverty.

How will the project solve the problem?

This is a truly exciting initiative setting out to transform the economic condition of marginalised women and break the cycle of poverty in Africa. Soap making can form the perfect basis for a sustainable enterprise - every body uses soap!

How can you help?

Your donations will help us purchase supplies to set up a soap making co-operative which will help provide employment and education for the Maasai women.

Your donation will also help support a young Maasai girl (as young as 10 years old) that has been rescued from sexual exploitation, F.G.M (Female Genital Mutilation) and a life of poverty. Due to psychological trauma your donation enables us to provide numerous additional services to help her recover.

When the girls are rescued they sleep on the floor and at times where the animals are kept due to lack of funds and facilities. Your donation will help build more huts and provide the girls a bed to sleep.

We appreciate any amount...No donation is too small!

Why soap?

Natural soap making has multiple benefits for the environment. Our focus is to use the earth's natural resources such as aloe vera, baobab oil, neem oil, coconut oil and shea butter to make the soaps and other skincare products. We look for preferably organic, minimally processed and biodegradable ingredients. The aim of the co-operative is to grow its own herbs and ingredients to use in our products.

I truly believe that Africa's way out of poverty is empowering people to learn a trade and with your support, we will help a lot of not so fortunate women.

Any support you can give would be an amazing help for the women. Thank you!
