Story
Asalaamwaliakum,
With Ramadan fast approaching, I would like to say that I hope Allah makes it easy for you all and gets you all through this blessed month.
Firstly I will like to say that I am not one who asks for donations and I don’t run a charity.
During my time in Pakistan I saw a beautiful country but I also saw a lot of poverty. A lot of people that can do with help. I usually send money to charity organisations for my zakat and anything additional such as sadqa.
While I was over there I met my dads friend and he took me to a school where over 250 girls are privately taught from the age of 10. He showed me their facilities, explained that they can not afford education for themselves and they are very under privileged, and the majority being orphans.
I met the head master and teachers, the cooks, the cleaners, the guards. This is all run on donations from people. I was very impressed. But to run this type of set up costs a lot of money and they need help. Through Zakat or Sadqa.
I want to help. But not only these people but other poor people. So for the first time I am making a request that if you are giving zakat this year, or sadqa or any other type of donation. Then let’s help these people. I will mention to the mosque to make dua for yourselves by name and will let your donations be known.
I have therefore set up this page to help generate as much as I can.
In the past people use to ask me to contribute to such causes and I use to say I am giving it to a charity organisation. But this time I have seen poverty with my own eyes and when you see projects like these it makes you think.
May Allah accept your duas, give you a blessed Ramadan.
Jazak Allah Khair for reading my message.
Aftab.
