We are raising money for A DROP IN THE OCEAN – a charity providing direct support to refugees located in Northern Greece. Their focus is to help children and their mothers upon their arrival in Europe, by coordinating volunteers and by collecting and distributing necessary equipment. At the moment, rather than receiving goods such as clothes (which costs money to transport and time to ship), the Charity needs cash to pay for essential firewood. In real terms, what this means that they will have a proper source of heat, instead of the residents of the refugee camps being forced to simply burning plastic to try to keep warm.

For many of us, getting out there to physically help on the camps is not so easy. But this doesn’t mean that we can’t do something to help. It is also such a nightmare, sat here so far away, to know which charities are bona fide and to know whether our donations do get to the people who need it. However, we have personal and direct links with this charity and can vouch for the work it does.

So, what better way to make a bit of cash, than for us to come together, make music, partake in a mince pie and empty our pockets of those nasty new £5 notes!!

This will be an afternoon of largely unamplified and intimate music to take us back to the simplicity of our voices and instruments.
