    Story

Stoke and District Horticultural Society aka the Aggie Club.

First opened its doors to the community in 1931 as a social, family orientated club, serving Bellfields Estate and the surrounding areas. Following a fire in 1974 the Club was rebuilt, since this time it has been the hub of the community and offers many and varied activities for members and their guests. We also have a function hall for hire, which is one of the largest in the area and has been visited by many well known entertainers in the past.

Why we care - it matters

For many years the Club has played a large part in the community, supporting many charitable events. For some of us our lives revolve around the Club, without it many would be at a loss, particularly our older members who regularly meet for bingo and the like for catch up with friends and neighbours. For many this may perhaps be the only time when they can meet and share each others lives - we care about this and feel it is important to carry on.

Save our Club - if you care

Now sadly we have fallen on hard times, mainly due to some mis-management over a long period of time and the lack of support from our Members. We now need you, our members and friends, if our Club means as much to you as it does to us, then please help us to raise funds to see us through this dark period.

    This is the final countdown

Without your assistance our Club will be forced to close within the next week or two. The Secretary, Members of the Committee and our valued Bar Staff can now no longer keep the Club open without the help of our members and friends. Please help us to become self sufficient once more.

What your donations mean to us

With your help and support the Club will be able to remain open and maintain the goodwill of the community that we have always had. Without it, then you will have no club, after 86 years we will cease to be. We will be just a memory of the good times that we once had. Don't let this happen to us, be aware, support us and maybe we can continue to serve you.
