I've raised £25000 to To help our mom. She is in ICU in South Africa on life support. Her insurance provider are going to stop funding her ICU care on 6th Dec.

Update to the below; mom is still in ICU. She is now breathing on her own and is only receiving oxygen. She is still unable to swallow or talk and as a result is still on a nasal feeding tube. Her insurance provider have agreed that we can continue to pay for the costs associated with her feeding tube and they will continue to fund the rest. Any money raised will pay for this and any rehab post recover, her insurance policy will only cover 6 weeks rehabilitation.
Our mom, Agnes Duncan, 56, is in currently in ICU in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She had a routine operation to correct two slipped disks in Lusaka, Zambia and did not wake up from surgery. We were later told that her heart had stopped twice. Once our dad realised something was not right he called their medical insurance provider and requested mom get sent to South Africa. Two days after her operation she was flown to Johannesburg. We are unsure of the extent of damage but since her operation she has progressed from not being responsive at all to opening her eyes, responding to pain below her neck and occasionally opening her mouth when asked to. She is breathing mostly on her own but they have to keep her on the ventilator due to risk of her lungs collapsing. She also has a feeding tube for food/fluids. The surgeons have been great and really positive, they say that she just needs time and we need to be patient. The daily cost for her to be in the ICU at Millpark is between £1500 and £2000 a day. We cannot afford these amounts not on any level, so here is our plea, please help us give our mom some more time to recover and come back to us. We never thought we would be in this position. Our mother is a kind, giving, loving person who would give the shirt off her own back to help another person or animal, she doesn't deserve this. We need our Mom, Wife, Granny Aggie back and need the chance to give her the oportunity to recover.
Thank you for your support.
Love and thanks the Duncan Family.
