    Story

Today, there are only a few institutes exist in Hungary that can work with children who have multiple disabilities. These institutes are very limited in places and have several years long waiting lists.

In these institutions, the education / development of the children is carried out in small groups (6 to 12 people), while the most effective way would be to provide individual lessons for their development.

In our region, (north Pest region) there are at least 30 school-age children with multiple disabilities. In the absence of an adequate institution, the families concerned have to place their children in care homes or the parents have to look after them at home 24/7.

To fill the gap in the Hungarian education system, we have registered our foundation, Veni Vidi Vici Foundation in March 2018.

Our main goal is to provide help to families raising children with multiple disabilities such as organised and support education, training and rehabilitation of the children.

    IMPLEMENTATION:

To improve the current situation, we are now working towards the creation of a study group staring in September 2018 where we will work on the development of the children in a small group with lots of individual lessons.

In the first year, we are planning to start with a small group of 5 or 6 pupils aged between 7 and 9.

    WHAT WE NEED:

    1. A classroom of appropriate size and design

    2. Teachers with special needs education and appropriate qualifications

    3. Material Resources

    WE HAVE:

    1. The Catholic Church, in our town, provides us with a classroom in its newly established school from September 2018. By doing this, our students will be part of a unique social integration model in Hungary.

    2. We have already agreed with all the teachers

    3. To obtain the necessary financial resources:

    a) Ongoing negotiations with the mayor of town Dunakeszi

    b) Ongoing negotiations with politician

    c) Ongoing negotiations with the Catholic Church

    d) Continuously working on finding companies who could support our program here in Hungary

    e) Establishment of a foundation that can receive grants to operate the student group

    f) The missing part will be paid by the families

    WHAT WE ASK FOR:

We currently don’t have all the funds available to start in the new school year as the cost of one student is approximately USD 1200 per month, which many families cannot afford to pay. Hopefully with Your help, we will be able to raise the missing funds, start our study group in September and keep it affordable for the families.
