    Story

    Why this Project?
Most smallholder poor rural farmers in Kenya lack agronomic skills to enable them improve their production and increase their income. They also lack essential market information to enable them to plan their production and marketing of farm produce. This means that they end up with losses. In addition, government extension services are hugely lacking for most of the smallholders who cannot afford to hire private agronomists. We want to sort out this problem.

    What we will Do
Currently, we are supporting farmers on their farms and providing inputs, agronomic support and marketing. This has proven to be successful. We plan to build on these successes to reach more farmers and provide them with on-the-farm practical agronomic skills and market information. Let's call it "freelance agronomy". We will visit farmers in their farms, carry out free farm/crop assessments and provide them with the necessary training to improve their productivity and farm management depending on the crops that they plant. We will also provide them with market intelligence to help them plan their production and understand market requirements for various crops. We will do this through farm visits, one-on-one training sessions with individual farmers on their farms and provision of information materials.

    What is the Impact?
We aim to enable smallholder farmers transition from subsistence agriculture to agribusiness. We aim to help them increase their productivity and market access and increase their incomes.

    Is it Sustainable?
Yes. The farmers will acquire skills, knowledge and information to help them in production, farm management and market access. They will use this knowledge in their farming businesses even after we have left. They will also pass it over to other farmers in their area.

Please join us. We are embarking on an ambitious initiative to transform smallholder agriculture in rural Kenya. Your support will impact lives in a big way.

I am a farmer in Kenya and I love to connect with people, inspire change and transform lives. I have been farming for some time and have encountered first hand the challenges that smallholders continually face. Thus, I aim to make an impact through this initiative.
