I've raised £1000 to help build boarding houses (just like AGS!) in remote regions of Myanmar so children can come into their local town for an education.

Story

I have had the absolute pleasure and privilege to visit this truly astonishing and inspiring country on two occasions and it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Despite the extreme poverty in the country, the Myanmar people are, to all appearances, happy and content with their very basic way of life - many of them truly live a hand to mouth existence - and it is a useful reminder to us all, to be grateful and appreciative for the very fortunate and privileged lives we all lead.

The Hosanna Children’s Home relies entirely on charitable donations and I am very proud of our girls for raising £15,000 for them so far. That money has helped the Home build new classrooms, put computers and sewing machines in place, fund teaching staff and provide the children with lifelong skills that they can use as a trade.

Now we would like to raise money via our colour run to help building boarding houses (just like AGS!) in remote regions of Myanmar so children can come into their local towns to get an education. The boarding houses mean they are safe, fed and cared for while they study. And they don't lose contact with their families and communities as so often happens. There is no doubt in my mind that these will make positive lifelong changes for these children, and those of the future.
