Story

Seraph is a friend of my youngest son. He is a very cheeky little boy full of mischievous smiles and giggles who loves dinosaurs and Lego. His best times are spent playing with his big brother Logan whom he adores.

Seraph also has an aggressive form of paediatric cancer called High Risk Neuroblastoma with only a 40% chance of surviving the next 5 years. He is 4 years old.

He has already been through so much - surgery, stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and chemotherapy so strong it has damaged his hearing. He is currently undergoing immunotherapy which should hopefully, finish in June.

Sadly, despite this being one of the most intensive protocols for any paediatric cancer (and all the NHS can currently offer), about half of the children that make it through still relapse and there is no more treatment available for them within the UK should this happen. The only option is to go abroad and that costs hundreds of thousands of pounds.

So this is where I come in, to help raise funds for future treatment* to give Seraph and his family the chance they deserve. My plan is to run 5 10km races - the first is Harpenden on 27th January and the last will be in Hitchin on 19th May. My current PB for 10km is 1hr 2m 54s and I will be looking to improve on this with each race I run so there will be a considerable amount of training involved between each race! I will post regular updates of my training adventures and all race times and hope that I can count on your support to help me do this.

Even if you can't afford to donate, please share this page and help to spread the word about Seraph and raise awareness. Use hashtag #teamsuperseraph on Twitter or Instagram or follow the overall campaign on https://www.facebook.com/TeamSuperSeraph/

*Should money raised not be needed by Seraph it would be put towards helping other Neuroblastoma families or Neuroblastoma research
