Story
We are a group of volunteers participating in the 2018 NCS Social Action Project, 'A Helping Hand'.
We have chosen our social action project to address the current crisis of homelessness within Hastings and the local community. Specifically, the homeless who tend to experience the lack of support from national charities; for instance those suffering from personal tragedies such as mental illnesses and addiction.
Throughout the next two weeks, we will be carrying out many fundraising activities and putting together services such as free haircuts and washes for the homeless, and gift boxes consisting of vitalities such as food, warm clothing and toiletries.
