Story

Ahmed Antule is a 40 year old man. He is a husband and father to four young children, the youngest of which is only nine months old. He is the sole provider to his elderly mother and his young family who live in the poor village area of Kalusta, Maharashtra in India.

Unfortunately for Ahmed and his family, he was recently diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anaemia which is a deficiency of all types of blood cell caused by failure of bone marrow development. Untreated, the condition has a high risk of death - leaving his young family devastated and in financial ruin. Thankfully, treatment is available, and what Ahmed needs is a bone marrow transplant. Sadly however, he doesn't have a suitable donor in his family and will therefore need an outside donor which in itself will cost thousands.

Ahmed sadly does not have the financial means to pay for his treatment.

What I'm asking for is that you find it in your hearts to donate whatever you can, however small to help Ahmed and his family in their time of need.

The treatment itself has a 70-80% success rate and will cost approximately 20 lakhs in Indian Rupees (approx £24,000). This includes the cost of the bone marrow donor, hospital admission, the three month procedure and any other medical cost associated to what we hope is a successful recovery.

Time is of the essence and so the sooner we can get the donations, the better Ahmed's chances of recovery are. We have set an ambitious target of £26,000, which - after adminstration costs for this crowdfund and card fees -will amount to roughly £24,000. Hopefully if we can all donate what we can and get our friends to do the same, we can get Ahmed the treatment that he needs so that he can make a full recovery and continue to support, love and care for his family.

Please remember to share this link to all your friends, family and colleagues to help us get to our target!

Thank you for your support.
