Crime rate in Nigeria has increased due to lack of information, ignorance and illiteracy. UNESCO stated that, "with Nigeria's illiteracy rate standing at just over 50%, it is a matter of national urgency that we work to address literacy crisis. Therefore, it is the duty of the whole nation to solve this problem.
