Story

Four years ago, Aiden went to the National Outdoor Expo and discovered The Outdoor Guide Foundations aim to provide waterproofs and wellies to every primary school in the UK so that ALL children can access the outdoors - whatever the weather (and being the UK we know we often need them)!! Since his first sponsored Dartmoor Hike at 6 years old, he has become a Youth Ambassador for the Waterproofs and Wellies flagship project from TOGF, completed his Fan Dance Challenge aged 8 and won a Youth Pride of Somerset Award for his charitable work, and he’s at it again…

Over the Spring Bank Holiday in May, Aiden has chosen to take on completing the infamous Ten Tors challenge (usually for those age 14 years and over). Aiden is 10 years old and the shortest Ten Tors route is 35 miles - which is further than he’s ever walked in this short a time! It involves wild camping and he wants to carry the proportionate kit weight for his bodyweight AND we will be attempting it in the two days that competitors are required to complete within (although we may give a little lenience on the end time).

Individual Waterproof & Welly sets cost £39.50 (they give them to schools in sets of 10 in different sizes), so Aiden would love to fund two sets at £395. Last time he was so well supported so whatever you would be happy to give will be hugely appreciated.
