Story
The Milestone
We’ve officially hit the one-year mark! Since launching Angels In Disguise (AID) Homecare in Launceston a year ago, we’ve been blown away by the support of this community. To celebrate, we’re opening the doors to our brand-new office at 3a Trethorne Business Park, Kennards House, Launceston PL15 8QE on Sunday, 29th March.
But as we look at the year ahead, we’ve identified a major hurdle for many of our clients and neighbours in the community: Accessibility.
The Problem
In a town as beautiful as Launceston, getting from A to B shouldn't be a struggle. Yet, for many local residents with mobility needs, transport remains the single biggest barrier to independence. Whether it’s getting to a doctor's appointment, visiting the shops, or simply meeting a friend for coffee, the lack of dedicated, wheelchair-accessible transport is leaving people isolated.
Our Goal: A Second Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle (WAV)
We are raising funds to purchase a dedicated Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle to serve the PL15 area. This isn’t just a van; it’s a lifeline. It means:
Independence: Giving residents the freedom to travel safely and comfortably.
Connection: Reducing social isolation by ensuring everyone can attend community events.
Support: Providing a reliable resource for families and caregivers in our town.
How You Can Help
Every penny raised on this page—and at our Grand Opening Auction on March 29th—goes directly toward the purchase and maintenance of this vehicle.
Donate: No amount is too small. Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or a larger corporate gift, it all gets us closer to the keys!
Share: Please share this page with your friends, family, and colleagues in Cornwall.
Join Us: Come to our launch party at 2 PM on Sunday, 29th March, to see our new home and meet the team (and the Mayor!).
Let's make Launceston the most inclusive and accessible town in Cornwall.
Thank you for your incredible support over the last year. Here’s to many more!
