I’ve started to create some more ‘kindness matters’ packages for new patients on psychiatric wards. They will be given when they arrive on the ward as a way to welcome them and make them feel more comfortable. Arriving to a new ward can be daunting. I want to do my bit in making the start of their journey, a kind one.
I‘ve spent the last few years in and out of hospital and I’m currently sectioned in hospital. I’ve experienced how awful and scary new hospitals are and want to make that experience as welcoming as possible.
Anything you donate/buy from my wish-list would be massively appreciated by those going through the hardest of times. Most patients arrive with nothing. Most have been sat in A&E for days on end and have only the clothes they came in. If you’d like to contact me or suggest any ideas, please do!! My insta is aimie_foster xxx
