Team Daisy Hill are putting their best foot forward and hitting the road at Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 4th May 2025. 8 teams, a total of 40 wonderful and amazing colleagues, family and friends from Daisy Hill Maternity are lacing up to take part in the relay for a very special reason

We are doing this in honour of two very special Mums, Geraldine and Kerrie, in memory of their beautiful son's and to raise funds for 2 very deserving Charities.

PIPS Hope and Support and the Children's Hospice.

Geraldines charity is PIPS Hope and Support and her team 'Mindful Miles' for Mental Health want to emphasise the connection between regular physical activity and positive mental health. We run to remember her beloved son Micheal and so many young men & women we have loved but lost to mental health struggles ❤️

PIPS vision is a world where suicide, self harm and stigma have been replaced by Hope, Self-Care and Acceptance 💖

Kerrie's charity, Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice is a local charity

The Children's Hospices' vision is that infants, and children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and their families receive palliative care of the highest standards, thereby maximising their quality of life.

Kerrie and Mark know first hand what an invaluable service the Children's Hospice is.

They were supported in pregnancy, throughout their son Senáns short but beautiful life and after his passing.

During their pregnancy, Kerrie and Mark had to make the difficult decision for their baby boy Senàn to recieve palliative care once he was born and that’s when they met the Hospice .

They had one wish, to be able to take Senàn home from hospital, and because of the hospice, they were able to keep Senàn at home with them throughout the 6 weeks he fought with his illnesses. They are forever thankful for the care and love they received as it enabled them as a family, to have normal family days, and make life long memories with their precious boy Senàn.❤️
