Story

My name is Ainsley Foster and i live in Blyth. I am 22 years old. On the 30th April 2019 my whole life as i knew it changed. I was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. I was admitted to The Freeman Hospital Ward 34, The Teenage And Young Adults Cancer Ward and more specifically into one of three rooms financed by the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. I under went two operations, 1 that saved my life as my tumour had haemorrhaged. I then had to endure four months of intensive chemotherapy and a further two months of proton beam radiotherapy out in Essen, Germany. I am delighted to now say that i am cancer free and on the road to recovery. I have went back at Northumbria University and completied my final year which had been put on hold whilst i was undergoing treatment. The care i recieved from ward 34 was unbelievable. I also had a lot of help from Eve who is part of the charity Clic Sergeant which helps teenagers and young adults with cancer both financially and emotionally. The support from ward 34 and Clic Seargent is for the next 3 years.

I would like to give something back to those who have helped me and made my treatment easier to cope with. Myself and my mam are hosting a charity night at Blyth Sports Club on the 18th of April. We are looking for prizes for a raffle we will be hosting on the night. If you could donate a prize we would be really grateful or any workplace can donate it would be greatly appreciates. All money raised will be split between ward 34 and Click Sergeant.

i have been trying to decide the best way to do a donation page and with Ward 34 not being a registered charity and thought this was the only option. 100% of the proceeds will be split 50/50 for both causes
