I have been researching airfields of the UK and beyond for around 25 years and it is all done at my own expense in my spare time. The website www.ukairfields.org.uk has been running for a number of years but the costs or running this and the continued research is starting to take its toll. A simple hobby of photographing aviation memorials and old control towers has turned into something I had not expected.
