I am trying to help a friend and colleague with their personal programme to lose weight, and help them to do it, whilst building up their confidence to lose enough weight to feel comfortable to go to the gym, and more importantly, get back into swimming why they feel embarrassed at present with the amount of weight they have put on over the last year especially.
I am trying to help my friend with getting constant exercise by helping them get equipment they like using which is the air rower. A couple of years ago they went to the gym to stay relatively active, but have had a couple of very bad years. They have had to have several months of treatment at hospital with many outpatient appointments, and I dont want to say totally why that was but it was pretty serious. They also caught MRSA whilst having treatment and then several chest infections, and then this lead to having plenty of rounds of anti biotics to finally get better. The main illness has now been fully treated so they have been allowed to go swimming now.
I have made some space in my house next door to theirs and they have been trying several ideas to exercise, but I know the one thing they wanted was an air rower, not one of the dearest on the planet, but even then the cheaper ones or reliable ones are £300. If i can just help raise this for them I know they will get some confidence back.
They have been told they need to lose at least 15 kilos to get them started. They have put on nearly 5 stone whilst they went through various stages of illness, so to give them access to something they like, and something can get to use each day would be a pleasure if I could raise the funds, and hopefully get them back on track. I know they wouldnt ask themselves, and it would be nice to help someone after the couple of years they have had. Just small donations would help this along, and to get them on some regime over the next few months would be great. lots of small donations would hopefully push this help along.
