Crime rates in Nigeria has increased due to lack of information, ignorance and illiteracy. UNESCO stated that, "with Nigeria's illiteracy rate standing at just over 50%, it is a matter of national urgency that we work to address literacy crisis. Without education, a country's image would be tarnished, so it is the duty of the whole country to solve the problem.
