Story

This man who was once a hard working and happy soul came to our attention 6 years ago, ‘peter’ (as we call him for safeguarding purposes) is 55 years old and had a good future in front of him until disaster struck, firstly peter lost the use of his legs, didnt eat and was abandoned by society laying in his own urine unable to move..... a week later after 2 ambulances, paramedics fear of sepsis and peter having no will left to live .....without intervention would of surely died.

Suddenly boom!!! An arson attack with screams of die all of you.... my team found peter in a foetal position grasping his walking stick for dear life as firefighters extinguished the blaze.... magda sat with him for three hours but he would not move as he had no understanding of the danger..

The next day we took a wheelchair explained the danger he was in a manually lifted him with the team and took him to a city hotel.

Peter is having many assessments as he didnt know his name at first. we provide meals 3 times daily, general care and have afforded him a new wardrobe, your help has already been amazing through our loyal fb page supporters.

So much more is needed to help peter get a new life, with the support he deserves.... our GP said he had the strength of a 70 year old frail man, hes improved but has a long way to go.

These funds are needed to keep him in his disabled room at the hotel who have kindly offered contractors rates for his room.

We really need any support for this man, who has currently no recourse to funds (no entitlement to benefit) leaves him disabled, peniless and reliant upon charity as an EU citizen.... in our great country!!!....

Seniors at coventry city council have helped as much as they can, all thanks to Cllr Ed Ruane,

Seriously but more needs to be done to help people like peter....from the top.... his funeral cost would of been on the governments heads, his future however is on ours.
