Together with the European Commission, AKF will work with the communities in North-East Afghanistan to help improve their resilience to the impact of the changing climate and develop sustainable ecosystems. Working mainly with women and youth in affected areas, the project will help people to improve farming techniques, develop physical barriers against natural disasters, rehabilitate vital forests, and develop new crops and farmland.

For every £1 raised, the European Commission will donate £9 to the project. And 100% of all money raised goes directly to the project. For example, a donation of £10 becomes £100. That's enough to provide year-round access to water for a family, or provide drought resistant crops to 100 households.
